Meet Elise
My approach to therapy
I’m Elise Salas, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapy practice owner who has been working in adult mental health since 2014. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and reproductive mental health. I believe therapy is most powerful when it’s collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to who you are.
I have extensive experience providing therapy to adults across all ages and stages of life, and I draw from a strengths-based approach to help clients build self-efficacy and resilience. My style blends evidence-based techniques with genuine human connection, creating a warm, caring, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore, heal, and grow. I also believe humor can be an important part of the healing process and bring it into sessions when it feels supportive and natural.
In addition to my outpatient therapy work, I have more than 11 years of experience in acute psychiatric care, which informs my grounded, compassionate perspective when supporting clients through complex or high-stress experiences. I am also a member of a national association for reproductive medicine, reflecting my commitment to ongoing learning and best practices in reproductive mental health care.
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Hawaii.
Based in Denver, I am licensed in both Colorado and California. I offer in-person sessions in Denver as well as telehealth services for clients across Colorado and California. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy running and attending comedy shows.
